Amethyst is one of the main stones that aids men and women as they gain clarity, sobriety, and maturity in their lives. It helps people meditate and clear their minds while sorting out one's "baggage" as well as their roots of any possible addiction. It also heightens one's intuition and helps connect people to their higher self. Not to mention, it is a beautiful, royal purple that speaks to God's creativity!Attached at the bottom of the necklace is a pendant with a cut-out of the lotus flower. The lotus is a beautiful symbol of those recovering and blossoming into rich, meaningful lives. I have copied and pasted a description of the lotus by a wonderful author, Stephanie Covington. This is from the book, A Women's Way through the Twelve Steps which I highly recommend.
“A picture of a lotus can be a meaningful and powerful symbol for women’s recovery. The lotus rises from muddy waters to blossom. Although it grows with its roots deep in the mud, it emerges pure and unblemished. It unfolds gradually, one petal at a time, to blossom in the sunlight.
The mud can symbolize murky beginnings, the material world, or the darkness of addiction. The water can symbolize experience, transition, or recovery. The lotus can symbolize the purity of the soul, rebirth, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment. For thousands of years, the lotus has been associated with spiritual practices in many religious traditions. It also symbolizes detachment from worldly desires and illusions.
I see the lotus as a symbol of women’s recovery. Recovery is a transformational experience. When a woman recovers, she is able to say, “Who I am today is not who I was.” The elegant and beautiful lotus flower that emerges from the mud is the beautiful woman within.”
This is perfect for someone on the journey of recovery, or for the those who feel connected to this beautiful purple stone, or even those who can relate to the idea of resilience in the symbol of the lotus!
The necklace is on the longer side, measuring 28inches, created with true amethyst chips and a silver plated lotus pendant, about the size of a quarter.
